Tinker AFB – AFCEA OKC Technology Day & Golf Tournament

The AFCEA – Oklahoma City Chapter will host the Tinker AFB – AFCEA OKC Technology Day & Golf Tournament. This is the only Technology Day held at Tinker AFB each year. This annual event allows exhibitors to network with information technology, cybersecurity, communications, engineering and contracting personnel at Tinker AFB. The event features exhibits, live demonstrations and industry, as well as Tinker cybersecurity briefs. More than 250 attendees participated in 2019 and we expect the same level of attendance in 2020. About AFCEA and the Oklahoma City Chapter: AFCEA International is a non-profit membership association serving the military, government, industry and academia as an ethical forum for advancing professional knowledge and relationships in the fields of communications, IT, intelligence and global security. The Oklahoma City Chapter has 300+ members at Tinker AFB and is recognized on a yearly basis for being a model chapter. Its board and members consist of CIO and O-6 level professionals at Tinker AFB and this event is used as a showcase, and yearly scholarship drive, for the chapter. Golf Tournament: Spend the day with the AFCEA OKC Chapter on the links at the Tinker Golf Course. Network with the AFCEA OKC board, members and Tinker personnel. Tee times and sponsorship packages are available. Help support the chapter’s annual scholarship drive. To sponsor, or for more information, contact Alex Santa-Pinter at afcea.okc.chapter@gmail.com About Tinker AFB: With more than 26,000 military and civilian employees, Tinker AFB is the largest single-site employer in the state of Oklahoma. It is one of three Air Force ALCs; the other two being Ogden Air Logistics Center (OO-ALC) at Hill AFB, Utah, and Warner Robins Air Logistics Center (WR-ALC) at Robins AFB, Georgia. The host unit at Tinker AFB is the 72d Air Base Wing (72 ABW) which provides services and support for the Oklahoma City ALC and its tenant organizations. Tinker is also home of the Navys Strategic Communications Wing One (TACAMO), a Navy Air Wing which is fully integrated in the Air Force Base, employing over 1,300 active-duty sailors and 100 contractors to provide maintenance, security, operations, administration, training and logistic support for the Navys E-6B Mercury aircraft fleet. The Mercury aircraft enables the President of the United States and the Secretary of Defense to directly contact submarines, bombers and missile silos enforcing the countrys national security through nuclear deterrence.
